Muse workshop #1

I went to a Muse workshop last week which was suppose to be about stereotypes. When I got there it turned out to be a workshop about stress management. This was because the other people canceled so they were the replacement. They talked about all the different types of stress and how they are caused. They had an activity to show if you were not stressed, stressed, or overly stressed. I turned out to be that I was in the middle along with the majority of people. After that activity, they had an exercise to calm ourselves which was very helpful.

Today we learned about how to write in MLA format with Kathrine the new peer mentor. She went over how we were able to write our scholarly paper for this class. After she was finished presenting, we learned how to make the embedded code from the interview for our blogsite

Peer mentor/ senior interview

My side of the class did the interview questions for the senior. The senior was a political activist that was passionate in what she believed in. She gave a lot of good information on how she felt about the situation and how we should meet with peer mentors. It helped give us a sense of how a senior felt being so close to graduating in these difficult times. I found that the interview was very informative and helpful for us to understand.

Ch 12

As a student you need to evaluate yourself and what the right career is for you. Taking a career test could help point you in the right direction of what you should do. Even though the career test might put you in the right direction you should still do what you love. Finding the right job for yourself will help you like your job and excel in it. If you like your job, you will want to go to it everyday and love doing it at the same time. Once you find the right major or career to pursue you should take an internship in that field. Taking an internship will help you find out if you will like your field of work and give you a preview of what you will be doing. It can help give you experience that jobs look for. It will help you build a strong resume to get hired for jobs that you look for.

Ch 11

This section talks about how to handle your money. As college students, we spend a lot of money on food, books, and supplies. We need to be able to balance out the money we earn from the job we have. That money will help cover those expenses and help support us through college. We need to be able to know when to use our money on important necessities instead of wasting it on things we don't need. We need to learn how to save our money for emergencies that might arise. The most important thing we can do as students is save our money. You need to learn ways to keep hide your money so you don't spend it all the time. Also you should put most of the money in a bank account so it can be kept safe. Also as college students we should not be tempted into having credit cards.
